ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

墨田区京島に設立したKABライブラリー＆レジデンス（2020年開館）は、アーティスト・イン・レジデンスやワークショップ、展覧会など、さまざまな文化事業を実施してきました。毎年10月に開催している≪すみだ向島エキスポ≫に恒常的に関わっています。さらに2020年からアーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラムを本格的に実施し、国際文化交流事業を行っています。これまでフランス、台湾のアーティストらを招聘および派遣しました。

The KAB Library and Residency (opening in 2020), established in Kyojima, Sumida, has implemented various cultural projects, including artist-in-residence programmes, workshops and exhibitions. It is regularly involved in the Sumida Mukojima Expo, which is held every year in October. Furthermore, from 2020, we have been implementing artist-in-residence programmes, and are carrying out international cultural exchange projects. So far, artists from France and Taiwan have been invited and dispatched.

招聘アーティストは、滞在期間中に地域のリサーチや制作を行い、展覧会、ワークショップ、パフォーマンス、トークなど地域住民やアート関係者との交流の機会を創出します。随時、地域間交流事業および国際交流事業先を募集しています。KABと共同で文化交流事業を実施することに興味がある事業者の組織、個人、または自治体のみなさんは、ご連絡をください。

◆International cultural exchange programme
During their stay, the invited artists carry out research and production in the region and create opportunities for exchange with local residents and art professionals through exhibitions, workshops, performances and talks.
KAB is always looking for new partners for inter-regional and international exchange projects, so if you are an organisation, individual or local government interested in working with KAB on a cultural exchange project, please get in touch.

【KABアーティスト・イン・レジデンス】

日本でのリサーチや創造活動を望むアーティストに向けたアーティスト・イン・レジデンス（有料）を行っています。必要な書類や申請書を提出して、希望の日程を考えて申込を行ってください。KABのアドバイサリー・ボードのメンバーたちと相談のうえ返答いたします。申請希望者は、以下のように手続きを進めてください。

1. 提出書類に必要事項を記入し、KAB事務局（KABlibresidency@gmail.com）まで送付してください。

2. 滞在期間：5日～30日間を基本とします。滞在日程は、ある程度は調整できるため希望日程を伝えてくださいKABは、一般の人たち向けてゲストハウスとして貸出をしています。滞在が4日間以内の場合は、ゲストハウス枠に申請してください。

3. 申請書が通過したひとには、KAB事務局から連絡をいたします。
そのときに費用についてお伝えします。1泊6000円～7000円程度＋TAX。滞在期間によっては割引がありますが、詳細は必ず確認してください。

４. 創作ジャンルは不問ですが、KABが提供できるファシリティに限度があるため、基本は自己管理で滞在できる人を対象とします。また、ライター、キュレーター、研究者（芸術学、美術史、文化政策、アートマネージメントなど）などに相応しい環境です。

5. 滞在作家は、以下の支援を受けられます。
・希望者にはテクニカル・スタッフ、アシスタント、ボランティアの紹介をします。
・滞在期間中に展示、プレゼンテーションなどを希望する場合は、相談を受けます。

6. 個別に案件の相談を受け付けます。まずは事務局まで連絡をしてください。

◆KAB Artist-in-Residence.
KAB offers an artist-in-residence (fee-based) programme for artists who wish to conduct research and creative activities in Japan. Please submit the required documents and application form and submit your application with your preferred dates in mind, which will be discussed with the members of the KAB Advisory Board who will reply to you. Prospective applicants should proceed as follows.

1. To receive the application form from KAB, and to fill in the required documents and send them to the KAB Administration at KABlibresidency@gmail.com.Documents to be submitted: application form, portfolio, etc.

2. Length of stay: 5 to 30 days as a basic rule. The KAB is a guesthouse for rent to the general public. If your stay is for less than four days, please apply for the guesthouse slot.

3. If your application is successful, the KAB office will contact you.The cost will be informed at that time: approximately 6000-7000 yen per night plus TAX; discounts are available depending on the length of stay, but please be sure to check the details.

4. Any creative genre is welcome, but due to the limited facilities that KAB can provide, the basic rule is that you must be able to manage your stay on your own. The environment is also suitable for writers, curators and researchers (art studies, art history, cultural policy, arts management, etc.).

5. Artists in residence will receive the following support.
-Technical staff, assistants and volunteers will be introduced to those who wish to work in the residency.
-If they wish to exhibit or make presentations during their residency, they will be consulted.
